Ionic #31 Railroad Degree - held on Sat May 20, 2017

The date for 3rd Annual Ionic #31 Railroad Degree (via the Wilmington & Western Railroad) has been set for April 14, 2018.  This event has proven to be a HUGE success.  For those who have not attended, special attention has been given to creating a mobile lodge room with railroad-themed accents: authentic lanterns were used by the Altar; special door knockers were created; even the Gavels were specially made for the occasion by welding railroad spikes together, each being rapped on an engraved section of steel rail.  Many of the Officers (dressed in engineer bib overalls) wear wireless microphones so that they can be heard by everyone.  The mobile, open Lodge Room situated between the railroad tracks and the banks of the Red Clay Creek is an absolutely stunning setting for a degree.

It has been a rain or shine event, and this will be the same for 2018 (let’s hope for plenty of “shine”!).  Food will be served at the station before boarding the train.  Bring a folding chair and dress for the weather that day (hats are OK).  Last year we had over 140 Masons from 6 states in attendance. So MANY people are involved behind the scenes to make it a success and their efforts are GREATLY appreciated.

Please arrive at Greenbank Station at 10:30am.  Lunch will be served at the station before we board the train.  The train will be leaving the station at 11:45am, for the 25 minute train ride to the mobile Lodge Room.  We should return by 4pm.  There is plenty of free parking at the station.

Tickets are $40 each and are available by contacting any Ionic #31 Officer,  There are only a limited number of seats on the train, so these tickets will sell out quickly.  Do not delay in buying your ticket(s).
